About the role
Position Summary The successful candidate will provide comprehensive consultant-level care to infants, children and adolescents, managing a broad range of acute and chronic paediatric conditions. The role offers an opportunity to work in a modern tertiary healthcare environment alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and treatment for paediatric patients. Manage acute, chronic and complex paediatric conditions. Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds and follow-ups. Assess and manage paediatric emergencies when required. Develop individualized treatment and care plans. Monitor patient progress and coordinate ongoing care. Work closely with Paediatric Surgery, Neonatology, Paediatric Cardiology and other specialties. Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and medical staff. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical case discussions. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives. Support teaching and training of residents and junior medical staff. Contribute to the development of paediatric services and clinical protocols. Requirements Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics. American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, Irish Board, CCT/CCST or equivalent preferred. Consultant-level clinical experience in Paediatrics. Strong experience in a tertiary or multispecialty hospital setting. Eligible for DHA/DoH/MOHAP Consultant licensing.
