About the role
Transport & Trip Planning Safely transport project staff, management, visitors and/or equipment and materials between offices, site locations, depots, airports and other destinations as scheduled or requested. Plan and select the most efficient and safe route for each trip, using maps, GPS/navigation systems and knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, road closures and diversions. Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records and schedules, and confirm pick-up/drop-off times, communicating any delays or changes promptly. Assist with the loading and unloading of documents, equipment, materials or luggage as required. Vehicle Care & Maintenance
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, recognising and promptly reporting vehicle maintenance needs, defects or safety issues. Keep the assigned vehicle clean, roadworthy and properly equipped at all times. Coordinate scheduled servicing, repairs, registration renewals and insurance in line with project/company fleet procedures. Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, servicing and maintenance activity. Safety & Compliance Comply with all applicable traffic laws, project HSE requirements and company driving policies at all times. Ensure all passengers use seatbelts and that the vehicle is never overloaded. Report any accidents, incidents, near misses, traffic violations or vehicle damage immediately to the relevant supervisor. Maintain a valid driving licence and a clean driving record, and complete defensive driving or HSE training as required by the project. Administrative & General
