About the role
Our leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Oncologist to join its multidisciplinary oncology team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to adult cancer patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, systemic therapy, follow-up, and supportive care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive oncology consultations and evaluate patients with various types and stages of cancer. Diagnose, stage, and manage patients with solid tumors and other malignancies within the physician's scope of practice. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, pathology, imaging, molecular investigations, and current clinical guidelines. Prescribe and manage systemic anti-cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy, where appropriate. Monitor treatment response and manage treatment-related adverse effects, complications, and toxicities. Review relevant laboratory, pathology, CT, MRI, PET-CT, and molecular testing results. Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, palliative care specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, potential risks, and expected outcomes. Provide supportive and symptom-focused care throughout the cancer treatment journey. Coordinate referrals for surgery, radiation therapy, palliative care, and other specialist services when required. Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential patient records. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, teaching, and continuing professional development. Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policies. Requirements Requirements
