Security Team Leader
About the role
The Security Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily security operations and leading the Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of hotel guests, colleagues, visitors, contractors, hotel assets, and property. The role requires a professional, guest-focused approach while ensuring compliance with Rixos hotel policies, UAE regulations, emergency procedures, and security standards. Lead, supervise, and motivate Security Officers during assigned shifts. Conduct daily security briefings, shift handovers, and post assignments. Monitor hotel entrances, exits, public areas, back-of-house areas, parking areas, and other designated locations. Conduct regular security patrols and identify potential security and safety risks. and access-control systems and respond appropriately to suspicious activity. Ensure proper control of hotel keys, access cards, staff passes, contractor passes, and other security-controlled items. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, accidents, disturbances, and security threats. Investigate security incidents and prepare accurate incident and occurrence reports. Assist with fire, evacuation, medical emergency, bomb-threat, and other emergency procedures. Ensure fire exits, emergency routes, and safety equipment remain accessible and unobstructed. Coordinate with hotel departments such as Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, HR, and Management when required. Liaise with Police, Civil Defence, ambulance services, and other authorities when necessary. Handle guest complaints and security-related situations professionally, discreetly, and with excellent customer service. Monitor the performance, attendance, grooming, discipline, and conduct of Security Officers. Provide on-the-job coaching and training to Security Officers. Ensure all security equipment, radios, CCTV systems, and other assigned equipment are properly maintained and accounted for. Maintain confidentiality of guest, colleague, hotel, and security information. Support the Security Manager in implementing security policies, risk assessments, emergency plans, and Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure compliance with hotel standards, UAE legislation, and applicable security regulations. Minimum 2–5 years of security experience, preferably within a 4- or 5-star/luxury hotel or resort. Previous experience in a Security Team Leader, Security Supervisor, or similar supervisory position is preferred. Valid
