Senior Oracle Database Engineer

About the Role We are hiring a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support enterprise technology projects with a strong focus on Oracle performance tuning and DBA automation. This role sits within a fast paced delivery environment, working across multiple projects concurrently, and requires resilience under pressure including occasional out of hours and weekend support Key Responsibilities • Administer and support Oracle databases across production and non production environments • Own end to end performance tuning at SQL and database level • Manage high availability architecture including Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Dataguard • Execute backup and recovery operations using Recovery Manager (RMAN) • Handle database patching cycles and version upgrades • Administer environments through Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) • Operate and support databases across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS • Automate recurring DBA tasks using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform and Groovy • Lead or support database migration projects • Write and maintain scripts in Bash and Python to support operational efficiency • Work within Agile delivery teams, collaborating across multiple simultaneous projects • Provide production support during out of hours and weekends as required Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field • 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience in large organizations • Excellent hands on knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) • Excellent hands on knowledge of Oracle Dataguard • Excellent hands on knowledge of
